Simola is built high on a ridge overlooking 13 of the 18 holes of our Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. The Hotel was designed to make best advantage of its amazing vistas over Knysna, the Knysna Lagoon and the Indian Ocean in the distance.

With accommodation for 160 guests, a bistro-style restaurant (and glassed-in wine cellar), a spa and gym, indoor- and outdoor swimming pools, conference rooms, children’s playground, MTB hire - and, of course, our Simola Golf Clubhouse and Pro Shop - Simola Hotel, Country Club & Spa is perfectly suited to independent travellers, tour groups, and business travellers alike.

Our forty 2-bedroom suites are set a short walk from the hotel’s public areas which means your hotel room becomes your own private, tranquil sanctuary.

Each 145 m2, luxuriously appointed suite has:

Simola Dining

The Lungalo fine dining restaurant at the Simola Hotel, Country Club & Spa boasts an excellent, satisfying, bistro-style menu - and a unique, glass-walled wine cellar that was designed to take best advantage of the views. The Lungalo restaurant serves buffet breakfasts and delectable a la carte dining while Sir Roy’s Bar, the Club Bar, The Pool Bar with majestic views of Knysna , and Club Lounge all serve  drinks, cocktails, lunches and light meals at various times throughout the day.

Simola Conferencing & Functions

Forest View Room - Perfect for conferences, meetings, banquets, weddings, etc. Seats up to 180 delegates. Large windows provide views of the Gouna Forest and Outeniqua Mountains.

Simola Boardroom - Seats 14 delegates in private, sound-proofed comfort. Equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment. Stylishly modern. 

Simola Spa

At the Simola Spa guests can indulge in specialised body therapies and beauty treatments. Swim in our curved, glass-enclosed heated pool or work out in the gym whilst gazing out at the spectacular view.
